Margaret has finished her quilt as well - I wish this one were for me (yeah, I know, I say that about all of them!) - she's blogged lots more pictures and descriptions over on her own blog - so go have a look. One of you will be lucky enough to receive this gem! (I'm not saying who, but don't assume it's not you just because you don't get it in the post in a week's time - she's going to wait a while to mail it, as the deadline is still so far away...)

WOW! I hope it's mine, mine, mine!
Wow...thats beautiful! :)
When I saw the crooked flying geese on your blog I loved them BUT now that I see it all together I LOVE LOVE it! Beautiful!
WOWSERS! What a work of art!? I'm starting to feel like I'm not putting enough effort into mine!
I choose to take the approach with swaps a little differently than others perhaps. I would never want to get something that looked like it took an hour to make, so I put in whatever time it takes to create an original piece with my vision. Sometimes the time required is 10 hours, sometimes it is closer to 50. The time does not matter if what is created in the end is something that I would want to make & receive. I figure that if I make a quilt with that approach, I stand a good chance of receiving one of similar kind in return. I believe many other quilters feel this same way. It sort of fosters a sense of warm-quilter-camaraderie...!
I do know what you mean, Margaret - I also don't like to get back something which looks as though it was thrown together. Which doesn't mean I don't like things which are simple - sometimes simple can be very effective. What I appreciate most is when I receive something that shows that the person who drew my name thought about what I like (and dislike!) and what I make myself, and then planned and took time with her own creation.
I'm sure the lucky person who gets your quilt will be very pleased; it's a beautiful piece.
This quilt is unique and gorgeous like all the ones you make. Anyone would be thrilled to recieve one of your creations!
