Quilt no 27

Crow Haiku
It is made entirely from silk fabric from Oakshott, front and back. The background was pieced and then the crows were sketched on in thread. The haiku was printed onto transfer paper and then fused onto a piece of silk before attaching it to the quilt. The feathers were stencilled with a markal paintstick. The quilting was done with monofilament thread because I didn't want any distraction to the design but did want texture.

A beautiful work of art. I could only hope to be privileged to get this one.
